I focus on full-stack web development, building reliable back-end services and maintainable front-end applications. I enjoy improving developer workflows and creating well-tested systems.

Full Stack Software Engineer

BYU Broadcasting — Provo, Utah — March 2025 to Present

  • Migrated multiple services' Infrastructure as Code systems from the Serverless Framework to AWS CDK to streamline development and reduce future costs.
  • Maintained and developed microservices using Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript that provide critical functionality for the BYUtv app and website.
  • Created and trained coworkers on unit and integration tests to ensure security and proper functionality of software.

Web Developer

BYU Engineering Capstone Department — Provo, Utah — Sept 2024 to March 2025

  • Diagnosed and fixed issues with the BYU Capstone's Drupal/PHP website, supporting over 400 active users.
  • Led a high-risk upgrade from Drupal 9 to Drupal 10, improving security and resolving major errors from a previous update.
  • Independently navigated a large, mostly undocumented PHP/Drupal codebase to implement updates in the absence of technical management.

  • Built major features for an educational online game, contributing to an engaging user experience.
  • Collaborated on design and development from concept to deployment using agile practices and Git.
